A FULLY CARED FOR COMMUNITY

Our participating churches are working together to provide for the needs of the marginalized and disadvantaged in our community. We recognize that we must care for the physical needs of our community in addition to the spiritual needs of our neighbors. Here are some of the ways we do this…

Gettysburg CARES

The Gettysburg Area Ministerium of Churches has a strategic partnership with this local program that provides 31 beds for those on the edge of homelessness. Clients check in each night to avoid the bitter cold of the Winter months in South Central PA.
This program is funded by donors and supported by our shared work as a network of churches.

Emergency Vouchers

Have you been there? At the end of your own ability to recover with nowhere to turn. Many people turn to the local church to help them in that moment. When no one else will help we can offer prayer and thanks to our emergency voucher program, Gettysburg churches can provide food, gas or even lodging in certain cases.

Your donation to the Gettysburg Area Ministerium of Churches can help someone in the midst of life’s toughest challenges.

Housing Assistance Summit

The Gettysburg Area Churches are serious about collaboration! Not just with each other, but with EVERYONE! That is why the Gettysburg Area Ministerium of Churches is proud to host a ongoing Housing Assistance Summit of clergy, community leaders, non-profit and government leaders and anyone who wants to bring solutions to bear on the unique housing issues that exist in our county.
If you are a leader, volunteer or government representative, we want YOU around the table at our next Summit. Use the link below to learn more about our next Summit!
